Alejandro Hernandez

Director of S&P Solutions

   Alejandro Hernandez has over 10 years of experience within the hospitality, real estate and entertainment industry. He received his Masters of Science Degree from the School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University with a focus in Real Estate Development and is the Director of S&P Solutions. He has trained in hospitality management education internationally, and has conducted numerous case studies and research marketing project for a number of hotel and entertainment companies within Florida, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He establishes personalized optimization plans for hospitality businesses, along with potential hotel acquisitions. He has implemented services to improve business performance, conduct extensive market research and optimize property strategies.

Before that, he served as Head of Marketing for a Grammy nominated music group, and would further promote, negotiate contracts, and develop international events.

   Before this, Alejandro worked with the Event Coordination Team for The Venetian Arts Society conceptualizing visual plans for promotional and practical use for various performances and fundraising events for numerous Tony Award and Emmy Winning artists.

Prior to this, he devised and personalized lesson plans for over 100 students for various Miami Conservatories and Entertainment programs who were pursuing mastery in classical music. He also worked in staffing for Univision and Telemundo Studios to provide services for television marketing and programming for large scale entertainers. He has also developed, organized, and executed entertainment concerts and summer education programs with Miami-Dade College.

In addition to this, Alejandro headed the Guest Services Department at the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables, where he provided experiences and services at a Four-Diamond level, as well as cross-trained support to other various departments. 

Our Lead Team

    Piro Hernandez has more than 30 years of experience in the hotel and travel industry. He has Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University and is President of hospitality consulting firm S&P Strategic Solutions.

He last worked with WorldHotels Collection and Associated Luxury Hotels as the Senior Director of Development for Latin America. Previously he was the Director of Development Latin America for Radisson Hotel Group and its 6 brands, charge of Colombia, Venezuela and Central America. His functions include the negotiation and structuring of agreements to expand the presence of Radisson Hotels in the region leveraging his contacts with owners/developers and institutional investors to promote the expansion of the brands in the region.

Prior to Carlson Rezidor, Piro served as Vice-President of Development for Radisson Hotels International 2012-2015.

Before that he served as Managing Director for Utell Hotels & Resorts at Pegasus Solutions for 5 years, serving independent hotels and hotel groups in the Americas.

   Prior to this, he was the Regional Director for Latin America of the Preferred Hotel Group for 9 years representing the luxury brands of the group, including Preferred Hotels, Summit Hotels & Resorts, Golden Tulip and Sterling Hotels & Resorts, where he also served as Regional Marketing Manager for Latin America prior to his promotion to development.

Piro was also the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager for Naco Hotels in the Dominican Republic where he worked for 7 years. Hotelera Naco was a small hotel group with all-inclusive and time share properties and a corporate hotel.

In addition to this, Piro has 14 years of experience in the Travel Agency Industry serving as tour operator and corporate travel agency in Miami.
